Comfort & Joy.
A Fun, Festive & Meaningful Christmas Mini Retreat.
The Christmas season is often a swirl of activity—beautiful, yes, but also busy, full, and sometimes overwhelming. At Wild Sanctuary Retreats, we believe in creating spaces that draw us back to what truly matters: connection with self and others, God’s Loving Presence, and also the joy of giving. When we planned this month’s retreat theme, we knew we wanted to give our participants a way to serve others from the fullness they receive from tending to themselves. Our Christmas Mini Retreat: Chair Yoga & Service is designed as a gentle pause in the midst of the season, a chance to gather with girlfriends, breathe deeply, move with intention and share joy in a way that nourishes both receiver and giver.
Chair Yoga.
One of the gifts of Chair Yoga is its accessibility. It is truly for every’body’. Whether you’re brand new to yoga, returning after a long break, or navigating mobility limitations, Chair Yoga offers a safe and supportive way to move. Yet it’s just as beneficial for those with regular practice—inviting you to slow down, tune in, and explore movement with curiosity rather than intensity. It’s playful, grounding, and surprisingly energizing. It’s Kimee’s favorite style to teach!! Chair Yoga meets you exactly where you are, making it the perfect practice for a retreat focused on comfort & joy.
Service.
Alongside the supportive movement practice, we’ll spend time in a contemplative act of service, partnering with a local women’s organization, Women of Worth. WOW helps women leaving prison and overcoming addiction find a fresh start. They empower them to find healing and sobriety, rebuild their families, nurture healthy relationships, and become financially independent. Our service project will include creating laundry care bags and encouragement/affirmation cards for the beautiful and resilient women of WOW.
There is something deeply meaningful about women helping women, especially during the Christmas season. When we give from a place of compassion and shared humanity, we participate in the kind of quiet miracle we witness at Jesus’ birth —a love that arrives humbly, heals tenderly, and invites us to shine light into places that need it most. The joy of the season often shines brightest when our hands and hearts are oriented toward others.
Fun, Festive and Meaningful.
With movement that feels good, service that matters, and the company of women who support one another, this mini retreat is a fun, and festive way to celebrate Christmas. Expect a morning filled with lightness, laughter, warm conversation, and meaning—an opportunity to step away from the holiday rush and step into a space where joy is both felt and shared. Oh, and don’t forget about the Hot Cocoa Bar!! Yes, please!
Gather your girlfriends, slip on something comfy, and join us for a morning that strengthens the body, lifts the spirit, and spreads the kind of Christmas cheer that lasts long after the season ends.
Will you join us?
