Lovingkindness Guided Meditation for our Country

At Wild Sanctuary Retreats, we believe in a loving, personal and communal God; that every person is made in the image of God, deeply beloved; and that in Christ we are invited to live lives marked by peace, presence, restoration and love.

We are grateful to reside in a country that shares these ideals.  A nation founded on the conviction that every person possesses inherent worth and is worthy of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. So, we pause on this Fourth of July weekend with gratitude for the freedoms we enjoy, while remembering that our deepest freedom is found in Christ. (Christ has set us free! This means we are really free. - Galations 5:1)

The freedom Christ offers is not simply freedom from oppression, but freedom for love. Freedom to forgive. Freedom to serve. Freedom to seek justice. Freedom to become peacemakers. Freedom to welcome the stranger and care for our neighbor. All as Jesus taught us.

If even those could be called sacred, tainted as they were by my human condition.

Mothering Day Guided Meditation

At Wild Sanctuary Retreats, we prefer to say Happy Mother’ing’ Day! On this day, we honor not only mothers, but the sacred act of mothering itself — the nurturing, comforting, guiding, protecting, encouraging, praying-for, tending-love that so many women embody in countless ways.

On this Mothering Day, we invite you to pause and rest in that Divine feminine love with us through a gentle guided meditation honoring the sacred gift of mothering in all its forms. and those special women who have mothered us so well.

And to live rhythmically is to honor the natural cycles of rest and renewal, death and resurrection, that the earth and Jesus model so faithfully for us. Join us in celebration of this sacred relationship by engaging in a 4 Elements Guided Meditation.
